My longtime caddie buddy (we’ll call him Bru) could best be described as a lovable wing nut.
A quirky sense of humor and a deadpan delivery can leave some people scratching their heads even after the briefest of encounters with Bru.
His latest and maybe greatest idea is an instagram page dedicated to the zen like nature of the golf club air guitar.
Pictures of caddies (none of Bru himself), golfers and six fingered AI things strumming along to their golf club air guitars can’t not make you smile.
I hope Golf Club Air Guitar goes on to have a million followers and Bru figures out a way to monetize it so he can retire from looping and just tend his pigs and teach junior golf all day.
My instagram account has never been my social media of choice. I never saw a reason to post a picture there instead of on twitter.
That might change since I’m no longer a twitter user, although bluesky has filled that void nicely and will most likely be where I deposit the occasional picture I think is worth posting.
Twitter and I broke up in the fall of last year after a fifteen year run that started with reading a physical newspaper article and ended in udder disgust at the direction and influence of that particular website.
Social Media without an algorithm and a megalomaniac at the helm might be one of the coolest things the internet has come up with.
